Midway Elementary Students Stay Warm This Winter

The Rotary Club of Des Moines would like to give a shout out to the local Des Moines community for their support in the Midway Elementary Coat Drive!  Over 600 coats were donated!!  This is double the amount donated last year!   On Tuesday, December 11th,  new and gently used coats, scarfs and mittens were given out to over 400 students and their families at Midway Elementary School.

In response to the successful coat drive, Steve Swank, Community Service Chair for the Rotary Club of Des Moines, stated, “The support and involment received from the community was overwhelming.  We had coats piled up at Corky Cellars, The Print Place and Midway Elementary!  We just want to say thank you to everyone who helped keep our kids warm this winter.”
